Local Businesses Ready for 'Summer of Sandler'

Local residents aren't the only ones looking forward to having the Adam Sandler movie Grown Ups 2 filmed in town this summer - the Marblehead Chamber of Commerce is busy preparing goodie bags for the cast and crew.

Executive Director Ann Marie Casey said the goodie bags are just a part of the Chamber's effort to welcome the hundreds of crew members expected to arrive in Marblehead this summer with open arms.

"We want them to feel at home here right off the bat," Casey said. "We want to get them familiarized with the businesses here in town as quickly as possible and this is a great way to do that."

Casey said she expects some 50 member businesses to contribute materials for the bags, which will be handed out to crew members when they eat lunch at the Masonic Lodge on Tuesday.

Local businesses that have already contributed free samples, tote bags, coupons and flyers, Casey said, range from restaurants and retailers to health and wellness experts.

"We have all kinds of great offers already and we expect we will be getting more," Casey said.

Ted Restricted Trailer with Mark Wahlberg introduction

Bradley Cooper to produce and likely star in American Sniper

Bradley will produce the movie with his production company 22nd & Indiana through Warner Bros.

Bradley Cooper has found his first project for his Warner Bros.-based production company, 22nd & Indiana.
Cooper is setting up American Sniper, an adaptation of the autobiography of Navy SEAL Chris Kyle, with Jason Dean Hall on board to write the script. Cooper is producing along with Andrew Lazar and Peter Morgan.
Cooper likely would star as well.
The book, whose complete title is American Sniper: The Autobiography of the Most Lethal Sniper in U.S. Military History, reveals how Texas native Kyle came to record the highest number of sniper kills for an American. The book has been praised for its frankness in telling a first-person account of a warrior who shoots from far and close distances.
Giving the book its emotional core are passages from Kyle’s wife, who slowly watches as her husband’s affection turns from her to the SEALs and war.
Kyle and the book's co-writers Scott McEwen and Jim DeFelice are the rightsholders. The book spent 18 weeks on the New York Times best-seller list and 13 weeks at number one.
Cooper, star of The Hangover movies and Limitless, set up his new production shingle March 1 at Warner Bros. Sheroum Kim is the company’s development exec. Kim will oversee for the shingle.
Hall is serve as an executive producer.
Cooper, repped by CAA, has been very active lately. He has four movies set for release in the next year, including The Silver Linings Playbook, director David O. Russell's follow-up to The Fighter that hits theaters in November.

Channing Tatum's movie G.I. Joe Retaliation moved back to March 2013 to add 3D

Paramount has pushed Channing's movie back to March 2013 to add 3D to get a bigger Box Office gross in foreighn countries.

The sequel G.I. Joe: Retaliation was supposed to come out this summer on June 29th. But I’ve learned that Paramount is moving the movie nine months to March 29, 2013, to add 3D. “We’re going to do a conscientious 3D job because we’ve seen how it can better box office internationally,” one of the studio execs just told me. “Jim Cameron did all of Titanic‘s 3D in post — and look how well that movie turned out.” Hollywood is shocked that Paramount vacated the primo date, especially because Paramount blew a wad on a Super Bowl commercial and already was starting TV and outdoor ads for GI Joe 2. Paramount has had luck delaying films before: its decision to move Martin Scorsese’s Shutter Island gave the director his biggest box office hit ever. And right now, 3D is huge internationally, with Russia and China building new 3D theaters by the week. Also the execs say that the blockbuster performance of The Hunger Games shows that March can be a prime time of the year to release movies. Of course, Paramount had to talk its partners on GI Joe 2 into the extra nine months of carrying costs – MGM, which has 25%, and David Ellison’s Skydance, which has another 25%. The $125M-budgeted actioner stars Channing Tatum, Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson, and Bruce Willis and is directed by Jon Chu.

New Trailer for Adam Sandler's Thats My Boy featuring Vanilla Ice

Here is the new trailer for Adam's movie Thats My Boy. The movie will be released in the US and Canada on June 15th 2012.

Matt Damon leasing a $15 Million house in L.A.

Looks like Matt wants to live near his friend Ben Affleck and his family in Pacific Palisades near Hollywood.

He’s not in Boston anymore!
New England-raised actor Matt Damon has reportedly purchased a $15 million palace in Pacific Palisades, Calif., near Hollywood.
Though the property isn’t quite off the market, the home will surely be big and bright enough for the 41-year-old actor’s four little girls and wife Luciana Bozán Barroso, 36. The 13,508 square foot mansion boasts seven bedrooms, 10 bathrooms, 35-foot mahogany ceilings and a pool.
Rumor has it, the Oscar winner is looking to lease the property (not buy it) in order to be closer to a certain A-list pal and his family.
The Good Will Hunting actor would reportedly like to live near his buddy Ben Affleck and his family in Brentwood, Calif. — wife Jennifer Garner and their three kids.
